Ingredients: Black tea from the Guangxi Bai Hao species
Steeping Instructions: use about one heaping teaspoon of leaves for every 8 fl oz 212°F/100°C water; steep for 3-5 minutes.
About the tea: Hong Songzhen, a kind of Yunnan black tea (Dian Hong for short), is made from one bud with one leaf of the Yunnan large-leaf “Dayezhong” spring tea. The dry leaf is even and straight, much like a pine needle - or songzhen, where this tea gets its name. It offers a naturally sweet taste as opposed to other Dian Hong varieties which feature caramel notes. A very soft black tea.
Per 2 oz tea, you get approximately 20-25 cups of tea.
