Often referred to as Blue Tea, Butterfly Pea Flower does not have a rich taste on its own. It is mostly used as an inclusion to give the teas a blue hue.
We recommend it as a latte. Steep a good heaping teaspoon in boiling water and add milk to make a beautiful sky-blue latte. Add vanilla syrup for an additional yummy taste twist.
Or turn it into a magical lemonade. Steep a good heaping teaspoon in boiling water, remove the flowers and add sugar in the ratio of 1:1. Bring to a boil again and reduce the mixture to a blue colored syrup. Let cool. Add ice to a glass, pour in some of your Butterfly Pea syrup and add freshly squeezed lemon juice - enjoy the magical transformation from blue to pink and of course enjoy your blue lemonade.
