Pu'er is a dark tea, also called 'black tea' in China is a fermented type of tea. Meaning that the leaves undergo a microbial fermentation process after they have been dried and rolled. The history of pu'er tea originates from the small town of Pu'er in Yunnan Province. Pu'er, similar to fine wines improves with age and will keep its freshness for a long time. Pu'er is available in loose leaf or brick form (so called cakes) and is made from green, black or white tea leaves.

This Emperor Pu'er is a a handcrafted, loose leaf pu'er from Yunnan Province with small leaves and has been aged for 4 years.
This pu'er offers an elemental earthiness with chestnut notes, hints of malts and a smooth finish.

This bold bodied tea is energizing and makes a great coffee alternative. The tea will give you about 4-5 infusions/steeping.

2oz will give ~15 cups (not counting multiple infusions).

Ingredients: Black Tea

Steeping Instructions: use one teaspoon of leaves for every 8 fl oz 200°F/93°C water; steep for ~1-3 minutes.
